Fostering Success: Understanding the Language of Dogs
We can only imagine the sheer panic and emotions a dog goes through when their whole world turns upside down…
“WAIT! WAIT!!
Why are you leaving me?
What did I do wrong?
Please don’t leave me here.
I’m so scared!”
We don’t always know how or what the circumstances are, but for that dog…
Everything they knew, everyone they loved, is gone. They are alone and have no idea if they can trust this new place or the people, and they are understandably afraid.
So now what happens?
Medically, we can diagnose any physical issue and address it accordingly, but what about the mental and emotional issues and scars?
How can we address these concerns and ease their stress?
We FIRST have to help that dog feel SAFE, and we do that by listening to what they are telling us, how they feel, what they need, and that happens by us learning the Language of Dogs.
This seminar will cover how to recognize the signals they use, and interpret it’s meaning by using pics and videos from real-life situations that occur during -
Transport
Meeting people
Guarding objects/food
Seeing other dogs
We’ll also give tips on what you can do to prevent problems - Plan A
And what can you do if things don’t go as well as expected - Plan B
