- Co-Author: Adopting a Dog?
-
Pat’s dream is to help adopted dogs stay in their forever homes and to see that the dogs have the life they deserve. Having done boxer rescue (Bailed Out Boxers) for 26 years, she is all too familiar with the reasons why dogs get returned. Her mission is to change that outcome for the better.
As co-author of the book, she feels this book gives people an easy step-by-step guide so those first few critical weeks after adoption will be successful. Stats: most are returned within 14 days.
Her training career began when she got a new boxer puppy in 1991, and began looking for positive ways to work with her dog. She found out that the methods used by many training facilities were based on punishment. She wanted a system that was fair to the dog, established trust, and had a consistent approach so her dog knew what was expected of her.
